St. Bernard School
Receives two MARC of Excellence Awards
Pittsburgh, PA: At the September Diocese of Pittsburgh Principals’ meeting, St. Bernard School was presented with two 1st place category MARC of Excellence Awards. These awards were established in order to honor schools that produce outstanding work in the areas of marketing, communications and public relations and are given by MARC Advertising of the South Side, in conjunction with the diocese.
The first award in the category of “Public Relations and the Media: Newsletters” was given to honor the excellence of the St. Bernard School News monthly newsletter; and the second award in the category of “Special Events Publications” honored the promotional materials for last year’s Mardi Gras at LeMont Restaurant fundraising event.
Mr. Dan Wagner, Principal of St. Bernard, was presented with both awards by Mr. Ronald T. Bowes, D.A., Diocese of Pittsburgh Assistant Superintendent of Public Policy and Development.
Both certificates will be framed and hung, along with many other awards, in the halls of St. Bernard School.
